ABOUT ME

My Story

My name is Becky Hundt and I am currently a member of the TMATE 2019 Spring Cohort at Tarleton State University. As a native Texan, I was born in raised in Midlothian, graduating Midlothian High School in 1999. I then graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2004 with B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice and a Minor in Psychology.  Since college, I have worked in the fields of Texas protective service, fitness and investment finance. I have also been a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserve since 2001, and am still serving as a Master Sergeant at Naval Air Station Ft Worth Joint Reserve Base.  I have served three combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. I have been drawn to the teaching field since college, but never found the guts or time to pursue that interest, until now.  I am really excited to finally be on path to a career in education!

Outside of working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two boys, ages 6 and 3.  I love spending time outdoors and am interested in just about all types of physical activity.  Most recently, I have been involved training for several half-marathons, learning tennis and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
